Recorded history of Pequannock Township dates to 1695 when the area was originally settled. The Township of Pequannock was incorporated in 1740, making it older than our nation itself. During the 1990's a Planned Residential Development known as "The Glens" was constructed adding 583 town houses, coach homes and condominium units to the housing stock of the Township.
The pairing of Baker Firestone (The Developer) and American Cyanamid Company (The Land Owner) brought about a community that offered a variety of housing choices ranging from Single Family Homes to Affordable Housing that serve to accomodate the tastes and means of all ways of life.
Built on 191.1 acres of prime Morris County real estate, The Glens boasts 2 swimming pools, 2 tennis courts, 3 tot lots and a basketball court, along with a Clubhouse with an on-site Management Office.
The Glens at Pompton Plains continues to be one of the most desirable communities in the area to live, as it celebrates its 18th year.
